Maede Salar finds her artistic roots in printmaking, using it as a means of personal communication. Her work defies easy categorization because she doesn’t merely create individual objects; instead, she constructs a unique creative space. She simultaneously explores multiple directions, blending traditional charcoal drawings with spontaneous torn paper experiments. Additionally, she employs straightforward video photography achievable in any studio using a stop-action camera. Her choice of media revolves around simple drawing processes, accessible to anyone with a passion for mark-making.
In essence, Maede reveals what often lies right under our noses, offering new possibilities to artists who cherish the act of drawing.
"Maede Salar’s works are based on design experiences. Most of her designs narrate terrifying stories in the political world, where male-dominated and anti-female dynamics prevail. Her designs traverse a world of carnivals: colors, cakes, rabbits, skies, and rainbows…
All of these references point to a parallel land resembling Makoundo, a place that has been ravaged by liars and religious propagandists.
However, her expression is not aimed at representing these realities directly; rather, her vivid imagery distorts the fear.
She belongs to a new generation of designers who have replaced the language of painting with design."
Bio
She was born in Amol city in 1991. He completed his undergraduate and postgraduate studies in painting at Soura University in Tehran. They know the expressive style. His works are not involved in structures and the facts are expressed from the point of view of the naked artist.
