Perhaps his main distinction from the new generation's art movement is his reference to popular literature. The vulture as a street insult, the elephant symbolizing the "Kash-e Melli" (National Shoes), his reference to eggplant as an anti-feminist symbol—all these elements are based on the layers of this artist's psychosis. It seems that his paintings are pieces of a larger puzzle that represents Tehran.
