M.F.A. in painting, Art University Of Tehran, 2011. B.F.A. in painting, Art University Of Shahed, Tehran, 2009. Taher lives and works in Tehran. He paints the cities, his urban portraitures always depict localities replete with what he calls the ‘city’s collective memory’. He often portrays aban- doned buildings steeped in a life once lived, housing lost memories, and deeply rooted in the psyche of the city in which they stand. He believes that our primary life experiences are made inside these architectural structures, which in time become part of our identity. He believes each old city is formed by these forgotten separated fragments. In every corner, there is a memory waiting to be relieved. For him, these old parts are full of life and vitality, far more energetic than the rest. In the last 5 years he has been working on heritage sites and old cities of Iran, he has done paintings of cities such as Tehran, Yazd and Beirut which have been exhibited in Iran and various countries such as Britain, the United States, the UAE and Germany.SELECTED SOLO EXHIBITIONS
